We are constantly working to improve your experience on Elements. Here you can find our significant milestones and enhancements that have shaped the evolution of Elements. From the beginning to our latest update, each release represents a culmination of innovation, client feedback, and dedication from our Product team. As you navigate the release timeline, you'll witness the progression of features and improvements that have propelled Elements to new heights. 2019

New Object! Legal Entity

From trusts and partnership interests, to UTMAs and foundations, here you will find a place to keep lists of authorized agents, beneficiaries, and even a section for displaying percent ownership

 

New Object! Financial Assets

On or off accounting system, using Elements' newly minted asset object you can now keep track of assets like Real Estate, Collectibles, Insurance Policy, etc.

 

New Object! Financial Liabilities

Similar to the new Asset object, the Liabilities object is a space which advisors can keep track of liabilities like a mortgage, a home equity line of credit, etc.

 

New Object! Addresses

Unlimited billing and primary addresses to contacts and relationships

 

New Object! Family

Families are used to relate multiple relationships together.

 

New Object! Investment Policy Statements (IPS)

Digitizing investment policy statements' objectives, constraints and target allocations.  These contractual agreements can be associated with a custom portfolio model

Time & Expense

The Time & Expense module automates efficiency tracking. By associating a dollar amount to the module, Time & Expense automatically provides efficiency and profit analytics associated with Activities, Prospects, and Clients. 

 

InTouch

The InTouch Module for Elements gives you the ability to keep track of, plan, remind, and build comprehensive client touches for a complete customer journey.

 

Business Development

Combines pipeline management and customer data gathering.

2021

Relationship Profile Score

Using the Relationship Profile Score, you can determine the data points most important for your team, and come up with a score, value, or data point, that shows you how complete your records are!

 

New Object! Tax Filing

With Tax Filings, Salentica Elements makes it simple to keep track of high-level and historical facts about your client's tax position in one place, rather than trying to go through your record management systems.

 

New Object! Financial Plans

This is where the Financial Plan's information can be logged, revisited, and updated if required so that team members can turn to them while conducting these crucial conversations with customers.

 

New Relationship Record Type! Terminated Client

A new record type for Relationships has been added which is ‘Terminated Client’. Based on client feedback, there was a need to distinguish Relationships as Terminated Clients, for record keeping and to keep up with data integrity. 

 

New Dashboard! Data Broker Dashboard

The data broker dashboard module comprises of 13 charts/graphs which are based on reports designed on Relationships, Financial Accounts, and Portfolios.

 

Address Manager

Address Manager allows for management of more than two addresses for Relationships and Contacts.

2022

MR1

New Object! Due Diligence

Due Diligence helps streamline the process of tracking your due diligence processes. Due Diligence is available on Investment Manager, Company and New Business in Wealth Management and Distribution Channel, Company, and New Business in Asset Management.

 

New Due Diligence Reports

New reports to help track your Due Diligence records filtered by the status of New, Active, In Progress, Completed, and Cancelled.

 

New Object! Investment Managers

Easily track the Investment Managers you work with, including Due Diligence. Track the related Investment Vehicles and Investment Team.

 

New Object! Investment Vehicles

Track the Investment Vehicles you offer to your clients, including their investment terms, fees, investment process, etc. Quickly see a list of all your approved Investment Vehicles and important columns that help you decide if you'll offer that vehicle to your clients. 

 

New Object! Asset Allocation

Asset Allocation is now a Related List item on the Model for referencing what vehicles may fit a model. Memorialize when vehicles are added/removed from a model.

 

New Object! Fee Schedule

This custom object serves as a memorialization entity for Fee Details related to Rep Code. This is surfaced solely within the Rep Code entity.

 

Tax Filing Status Update

We have added more options to the Tax Filing - Filing Status column. Available now are: Default: N/A, Single, Head of Household, Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, Qualifying Widow(er) with Dependent Child, Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships,  Corporations, S Corporations, Limited Liability Company (LLC).

 

Employment History -Primary Employment

Choose your client's current job, and this will become their primary employment. This will allow you to quickly see where your clients are working now!

 

Event Duration

We have added logic to Events so that the duration of the meeting is now calculated based on the start and end times of your meeting, increasing efficiencies.

 

Asset Management – Distribution Channel: Pipeline

We have incorporated Pipeline, including New Business in the Asset Management product. This will allow you to track your New Business as they are associated with your institutional relationships and distribution channels and teams. We added a new tab on Distribution Channel: Pipeline.

 

New App! Elements Business Development

Track New Business, Outreach, Outreach Members, and Sponsorships all in one place. Outreach allows tracking outreach events to prospects, clients and COIs. Outreach Members are a list of Contacts associated with Outreach events. Sponsorships allow you to track new business associated with your sponsors.

2022 MR2

New App! Deals

The Deals app is your all-in-one resource to track and manage all your non-marketable assets including mergers, acquisitions, real estate, and other capital investments. Deals includes Companies, Contacts, Investments, Investment Opportunities, InTouch, and Outreach.

2023 MR1

New Module! Workflow Manager

The Workflow Manager is a comprehensive module within Salentica Elements, designed to efficiently control, manage, and automate business processes. It offers a series of tools to create and manage workflows, each uniquely configured to align with the various processes within your firm. Workflow Manager includes Templates, Launcher, and Workflows objects.

 

New! Related Contacts Report

 

We have created a new custom report type that shows Contacts associated with a specific Relationship and the specific roles of each Contact.

 

New! Financial Accounts Form

 

To enhance navigation and elevate the user experience, Salentica has redesigned the default page layout of the Financial Account custom object for Elements.

 

New! Government ID Expiration Alerts

Using Salesforce Lightning Flow, we’ve created an optional automation that will keep an eye on expiration dates of government-issued IDs, both Driver's Licenses and Passports.

 

Address Manager Enhancements

 

Inherit Address from Relationship to all non-primary Contacts, increasing efficiency and consistency between Contacts on Relationships. A new field shows the State/Province Code.

 

Task Completion Notification

Through a Lightning Flow, checking the box on the Task Details page Notify Relationship Owner when Completed will send an email to the task owner once the task is marked complete.

 

Increased Decimal Places for Contact Age

The decimal places for age have now been increased to 4 to correctly reflect a Contact's age.

 

New Business – Send List Email

Under New Business, you now have the option to send a list email to a Contact's primary email address in bulk from a List View.

 

Efficiency Ratio on Relationships

To provide more insightful financial metrics, Elements now calculates and displays the Efficiency Ratio in the Time/Expense section of Relationship page layouts. This new feature will enable users to better understand and monitor their operational efficiency over time.

 

Asset Management- Investment Account ID & PMS Account Number

To offer a more comprehensive view of Asset Management Investment accounts, we've introduced the External ID and PMS Account Number fields.

 

Asset Management – Contributions & Withdrawals on Investment Accounts

The Contributions/Withdrawals custom object has been designed to provide firms with a comprehensive view of the financial activity linked to all active Investment Accounts in the Salentica Elements Asset Management app.

2023 MR2

Workflow Manager- Queue Assignment

Workflow tasks can now be assigned to a queue under the Assignee options on the Workflow Template step for greater efficiency in assigning tasks to teams.

 

Workflow Manager- Close Open Tasks on Workflow Deactivation

When the Workflow Status is changed to Cancelled, any open tasks with a status of In Progress or Not Started will also be marked as canceled. 

 

Workflow Manager- Required End Date on Recurring Workflows

Elements now requires an Overall Due Date when a Recurring Workflow is selected in the Workflow Launcher. To aid in calculating the Overall End Date, a new field for Default Number of Recurrences has been added to the Workflow template.

 

Workflow Manager- Approvals Must be Made by Assigned User

Only the Assigned To User can approve or reject the assigned task. This ensures the right person is reviewing the task.

 

Workflow Manager- Rejection Reason Capture

Rejection Tasks now require a reason field to be completed, helping provide clarity and paving the way for process improvements.

 

Automation of Prospect to Client When New Business Marked as Closed & Won

Elements now automatically updates client records as they transition from prospects to clients. Now, when a New Business record is marked as Closed and Won, the Relationship Record Type will change from Prospect to Client.

 

Prevention of Duplicate Outreach Members

Elements now prevents the duplication of Outreach Members on an Outreach record.

 

Legal Entity Picklist Enhancement

Now, when selecting a Legal Entity, the Entity Type picklist will dynamically adjust to only show relevant values, saving time and reducing the likelihood of errors.

 

Contact Age Stops Calculating Upon Entry of Date of Death

Recognizing the sensitivity and importance of accurate data, this new feature halts age calculation when a Date of Death is added to a Contact record in Elements.

 

New Text Field for Financial Account Registration Type

To better align with Portfolio Management Systems that contain a multitude of Registration Types, we have introduced a new text field for Registration Type.

 

Asset Management- Sum of Contributions/Withdrawals on Investment Accounts

Elements now aggregates Contributions and Withdrawals in a Year-to-Date, Rolling 12 Months, and Inception to Date format on Investment Accounts. A batch runs overnight to calculate the sums.

 

Asset Management- Create a New Distribution Channel from a New Business Record

A new action button allows the creation of a New Distribution Channel from the New Business object for a quicker way to complete the record creation process.

January 2024

Time & Expense Fix

Resolved an issue within the Time & Expense module, due to a Salesforce limit, that governed the number of records retrieved per transaction. In organizations where Time & Expense records exceeded 12500 for the rolling 12 months, an error was generated and the calculation was not completed. The aggregation logic has been optimized to minimize the number of queries, ensuring smooth operation even in organizations with a high volume of Time & Expense records.

 

Workflow Manager Fix

Resolved an issue where the Workflow Launcher failed to initialize the Workflow when the Workflow Launcher was toggled to Active status. This was seen in cases where the Estimated Business Days Until Completion was a higher number. As a result, there was an increased number of queries to the Holidays table, and a timeout occurred. Logic for the Holidays table has been optimized to reduce the number of queries, ensuring the Launcher reaches a Complete status and creates the Workflow.

June 2024

Checklist Name and Checklist Item Name Updates

The Checklist Header and Checklist Items were showing blank if fields were left blank during setup. Now, if the Checklist Title is left blank, the Checklist Name will be used as the Heading on the Checklist Control.

If the Checklist Item Label is left blank, the Checklist Item Name will populate the value of the Checklist Item in the Checlist control, rather than displaying a blank value.

 

Checklists Must Be Completed to Complete a Task

Previously, Tasks on a Checklist could be marked complete or not marked complete and the Task could still be marked Complete. Now, a Task with a Checklist can not be marked Complete until all Checklist Items are marked complete. An error message will alert the user that the Checklist Items need to be completed before marking the Task Complete.
 

Workflow Tasks Visible on the Relationship Activity Timeline

Now, if the Workflow is related to the Relationship, the Workflow Tasks will show on the Relationship's Activity Timeline. 
 

Workflow Launcher Object Added to Workflow Manager Tab

Now by default, the Workflow Manager tab on the Relationship will include the Workflow Launcher object with the option to create a New Workflow Launcher allowing for ease of use and efficiency.
 

List Email Tab Setting Enabled for Power Users & Restricted Users

Now, the List Email Tab setting has been set to "Default On" for the Salentica Power User and Salentica Restricted User profiles. Users with these profiles can use the App Launcher to access List Emails.
 

Removal of Start Date Requirement on Employment Object

Start Date is no longer a required field on the Employment History Object on Contacts. 
 

Refined Company Object Page Layout

The Company Object Page Layout has been updated to reduce clutter and refine the layout for ease of use. The Related List Quick Links Section has been removed. All Related information is still available under the Related tab. The Employment History related list has been renamed as Related Contacts and is included as a Dynamic Related Lists - Single lightning component within the Related Tab.
