We are so excited to partner with the best in the CRM business, because their releases help you too! The "Spring '21" release for Salesforce is currently rolling out, and below are some of the key enhancements we want to highlight as your Salesforce partner.

Security Updates

Manual Record Sharing

Admins will be able to rejoice everywhere, the “Sharing” button is now available in Salesforce Lightning! Your users will now be able to share a record to a user, or group of users on demand, without having to adjust Profiles, Roles, or Permission Sets.

Record Name & System Field Restrictions

To better protect your Salesforce org’s data, you can restrict who can view record names in lookup fields and system fields, such as Created By and Last Modified By. If you enable the Require permission to view record names in lookup fields setting, users need Read access to these records or the View All Lookup Record Names permission to view this data.

Customize Field Mappings for Event Sync

Control how events sync between Microsoft Exchange and Salesforce. By managing how fields map between the two applications, teams stay up to date about the information that’s important to them.

Flows - Compare Previous Value to New Value

You can now compare previous values of records to new values saved in Flow. This will allow further flexibility of Flows, for example: Send email notification to Advisor if AUM drops more than 10% in a day.

Field Limits & Help Text Updates

  • Improve performance with new limits on picklist values: Salesforce Details.
  • Use more characters in field-level help text: upped from 255 to 510 characters.
