We are aware that there are a number of Data Broker jobs that are not completing as expected, which may result in financial information not updating as expected. Our internal teams are aware of this and we are reviewing to determine the cause.

We will provide updates through the Status article as we continue to work towards a resolution.

On Financial Accounts, the Custodian field stores the company's name that's responsible for holding and managing the account’s assets. Custodian information for each Financial Account is typically provided through the Data Broker integration from most Portfolio Management Systems (PMS).

To display a Custodian in a Financial Account, you must first create a corresponding Company record in Elements and designate it as a Custodian. If the Custodian is not set up as a Company record in Elements, the Custodian field will show blank in Elements.

Create a New Custodian

Follow the steps below to set up a new Custodian for Financial Accounts.

1. From the Navigation Bar, select the Companies tab. (If you don't see Companies, you may need to click More.)

2. Click New.

3. Enter the required information:

  • Company Name must match the Custodian name format in the PMS.
  • Check Is Custodian?

4. Click Save.

The Custodian will now show as a Company record and can be matched with the Data Broker Integration data received from your Portfolio Management System.
