Using Elements June 2024 Release

Follow the step-by-step guide below to incorporate the June 2024 Release into your Elements. These mandatory steps should be completed by an active Salesforce System Administrator.

 

  1. List Email Object Tab Settings  
  2. Restricted Objects Tab Settings 
  3. Remove Start Date for Employment  
  4. Page Layout Changes for Company  
  5. Relationship Page Updates 

List Email Object Tab Settings

This setting will turn on access to the List Email object for Salentica Power User and Salentica Restricted User profiles.

1. Click on the gear icon :gear: at the top-right corner of the Elements home page and select Setup

2. Click on the Home tab and type the keyword Profiles in the Quick Find search bar. Click the Profiles keyword situated within the Users column

3. Scroll down and click the Salentica Elements Power User profile under the Profile Name column

4. Click the Object Settings option

5. Scroll down and click the List Emails object name

6. Click the Edit button and select the option Default On for Tab Settings and click Save

7. Click the Profiles keyword within the Users column on the left side

8. Scroll down and click the Salentica Elements Restricted User profile under the Profile Name column

9. Click the Object Settings option

10. Scroll down and click the List Emails object name

11. Click the Edit button and select the option Default On for Tab Settings and click Save


Restricted Objects Tab Settings 

This setting removes access from Salesforce restricted objects for the System Administrator profile.

1. From the Home tab in Settings, type the keyword Profiles in the Quick Find search bar. Click the Profiles keyword within the Users column

2. Scroll down and click the System Administrator profile under the Profile Name column

3. Click the Object Settings option

4. Scroll down and click the Leads object name

5. Click the Edit button and select the option Tab Hidden for Tab Settings and click Save. Next, click the Object Settings option

6. Scroll down and click the Campaigns object name

7. Click the Edit button and select the option Tab Hidden for Tab Settings and click Save. Next, click the Object Settings option

8. Scroll down and click the Cases object name

9. Click the Edit button and select the option Tab Hidden for Tab Settings and click Save. Next, click the Object Settings option

10. Scroll down and click the Opportunities object name

11. Click the Edit button and select the option Tab Hidden for Tab Settings and click Save. Next, click the Profile Overview option and return to the System Administrator profile home

page


Remove Start Date for Employment

This step removes the required field setting from the Employment Start Date found on the Contact Object.

1. From Settings, click the Object Manager tab and type the keyword Employment in the Quick Find search bar. Click the Employment object within the Label column

2. Click the Page Layouts option and click the Employment Layout option

3. Type the keyword Start Date in the Quick Find search bar and click the Field Label

4. Click the small :wrench: wrench icon on the right side of the field and uncheck the Required checkbox and click Ok. Next, click Save at the top left of the page layout details screen

5. Click the Lightning Record Pages option and click the editable record page. In this example is the second option with the Name ‘Employment1’

6. Click the Edit button

7. Click the Start Date field and select the UI Behavior as None

8. Click Save and then click the Activation button to assign the record page as either ‘Org Default’ or ‘App Default’ or assign based on a combination of ‘App, Record Type, and Profiles'. Next, click the Close button and return to the Object Manager screen


Page Layout Changes for Company

This step removes the Related List Quick Links component from the Company Page layout.

1. From Settings, click the Object Manager tab and type the keyword Company in the Quick Find search bar. Click the Company object within the Label column

2. Click the Page Layouts option and click the Company Layout option

3. Click the Related Lists option

4. Type the keyword Employment History in the Quick Find search bar at the top of the page layout edit window

5. Click the greyed-out Employment History related list and click the small Remove Related List button within the related list window. Next, click Save and select Yes if a popup window opens

6. Repeat the previous steps (Step 3 - Step 5) for all the Company page layouts


Relationship Page Updates 

This step updates the Relationship Health field and adds the Workflow Launcher component to the Workflow Manager tab on the Relationship Object.

1. From Settings, click the Object Manager tab and type the keyword Relationship in the Quick Find. Click the Relationship object within the Label column

2. Click the Fields & Relationships option and type the keyword Relationship Health in the Quick Find search bar

3. Scroll down to the values section and click Edit option next to the ‘3 - Safe’ value

4. Match the value of the API Name text box to be the same as that of the ‘Label’ value and click Save

5. Scroll down to the values section and click Edit option next to the ‘2 - At Risk’ value

6. Match the value of the API Name text box to be the same as that of the ‘Label’ value and click Save

7. Scroll down to the values section and click Edit option next to the ‘1 - Critical’ value

8. Match the value of the API Name text box to be the same as that of the ‘Label’ value and click Save

9. Click the Lightning Record Pages option and select the editable record page. In this example it is the Relationship Record Page with the name ‘Relationship_Record_Page1’

10. Click the Edit button

11. In the Lightning App Builder page, click the Workflow Manager tab

12. Type the keyword Dynamic Related List in the search bar on the left side of the app builder page within the Components section

13. Drag and drop the Dynamic Related List - Single component from the Standard section to the top of the Workflow Manager tab

14. Select the following options for the newly added 'Dynamic Related List - Single' on the right side of the lightning app builder:

a. Parent Record - Use This Relationship

b. Related List - Workflow Launcher

c. Related List Label - Workflow Launchers

d. Related List Type - List

e. Number of Records to Display - 10

f. Check the box for ‘Show list view action bar’

g. Related List Fields - Click the ‘Add Field’ button, type the name of the field, select the field and click ‘Done’. Add the following fields to the related list -

  1. Workflow Launcher Name

  2. Workflow Launcher Status

  3. Frequency

  4. Frequency Amount

  5. Last Scheduled Date

  6. Next Scheduled Date

h. Sort Field - Default

i. Sort Order - Default

j. Actions - New

15. Click Save and then click the Activation button to assign the record page as either ‘Org Default’ or ‘App Default’ or assign based on a combination of ‘App, Record Type, and Profiles'. Next, click the Close button and return to the Object Manager screen
